WHY CONSIDER PURCHASING A RIVER TABLE?

Each piece is distinctively unique with it being virtually impossible to reproduce two exactly the same, similar maybe, but identical, impossible.

RIVER TABLES

DISTINCTIVELY UNIQUE

River tables combine coloured or tinted epoxy resin with timber slabs to give them that appearance of a flowing river. The natural or outer edge of the timber and the variation of colours in the timber near the outer edge give a river table that appearance of a river bank on the edge of the flowing river.

River table would seem to be a general term used for any creative piece that is made using a combination of timber and epoxy resin. I say that I make river tables which implies that I make river tables which I do, but I also make River Desks, River Serving Wares (serving trays and boards) and River Decor or art pieces which I also call river tables.

Each river table is totally unique with it being virtually impossible to make two pieces exactly the same. Yes, you can have two timber slabs that look similar but they will never be exactly the same. Yes, you can add coloured resin mixed in the same proportions between the two outer edges of two similar timber slabs and the resin will look different. Resin as it cures or sets can do some weird and wonderful things as you can see on the timelapse video below.

I mixed and then added a blue coloured resin with a red coloured resin into 1 container. Over the course of about 40 minutes using the hyperlapse setting on my phone, it did this. As I said, weird and wonderful and even bordering on bizarre.

The epoxy resin is made from two substances (Clear epoxy [Part A] and Clear epoxy hardener [Part B]) which when mixed in the required proportions, will undergo a thermochemical reaction as it cures or sets.

Combining timber and epoxy resin in this way creates very unique pieces that will become showpieces where ever they are used or displayed.
