Where Raw Timber Slabs become Statement Pieces
From Concept to Creation
From making my first piece in March 2020 to now, the process of making River Tables has remained relatively consistent.
It all starts with a timber slab and determining which particular river piece would best suit it. The timber slab is then cleaned, cut to size and placed into a mould. Choosing the right colour to mix with the resin to make the piece come alive is all important at this point. After pouring the resin, stirring the resin and letting it set, the time consuming, but very satisfying steps of flattening, sanding and edging the piece start. Finally, the finish is added and another River Me Timbers creation is complete.
From March 2020 to now and after much trial and error, we have learned and improved our processes and systems along the way.
